What does the guild stand for?Enjoyment and contribution are the main goals, and winning is just a nice bonus. Beyond this, members of this guild should be able to trust each other enough to talk about their lives outside the game and hopefully become life-long friends. What does each member stand for?To help attain these goals for the guild, each of us will follow these guiding principles for our individual actions: Enjoyment - making sure the game stays fun for us Contribution - continuously adding value to the community Honesty - a friendship doesn't work without trust Integrity - individual actions should be aligned with the guild's goals Honour - the guild's goals cannot be met through dishonourable actions Collaboration - greater value can be achieved through teamwork Humility - show, don't tell Humanity - people first, players second Please post a reply here if you agree to do your best to abide by these guiding principles.

A finely written constitution for us all to follow GDC. A virtual toast to all members of ETC

Once we are all signed up to this constitution, I'll add a new member category and make a special board that only we can see.

I have created a new Member Group called "Living the Values". People who have agreed to the constitution will be put in this group and they will be able to see an area of the forum called "Living the Values".

Note that "Administrator and Global Moderator" implies you are "Living the Values" too. Essentially, anyone with 5 stars is "Living The Values". I have yellow stars because I'm communicating the message and ethos. (I like to use yellow to represent ideas/concepts). The moderators (Steve99 and arkax, so far) have blue stars because I like to think of blue as a colour to do with organising and managing activity within the guild. All those living the values are green stars because they are combining using the values/ideas/concepts (yellow) to self-manage (blue) and end up enriching and contributing to the outside world (green). And, to complete the picture: Red is for life and for being. That all takes place away from the forum in your body, in your real life. Only you can feel that and know that, but it tends to come through in your words and actions. When you combine the red with the yellow, you end up with a nice orange feeling, which I think represents well-being and enjoyment. So, ideally, the things we do on the outside will all be green and the things we feel on the inside will all be orange.
